Home Delivery FAQ
How can I get my hands on some delicious greens?
We’re glad you asked. You can receive our fresh harvest delivered to your door either weekly or every other week. We offer CSA shares in the form of a 10-week Subscription, and offer two varieties of shares: Lettuce Club and Farmer's Bounty.
What does a typical weekly harvest include?
We plan our harvests to include a reliable foundation of lettuce, and when you sign up for a Lettuce Club subscription, that's what you'll get. We deliver at least six heads of lettuce to your door, sometimes one or two more.
Where do you deliver?
At this time, we offer delivery to the ZIP codes listed below. (Shoot us an e-mail if you’d like us to consider expanding to your ZIP code.)
When is the harvest delivered?
We speed our harvest to your door on Tuesdays or Wednesdays, depending on where you live. We will promptly communicate with you if changes need to be made (holidays, weather, etc.).
Is there a limit to how much you can produce?
Our farm is efficient. We are housed in a small warehouse in Glenview but can produce the same amount of produce as a traditional 2-acre farm. That’s a lot of greens, but we do run out of shares. If we don’t have shares available when you apply, we’ll be glad to put you on a waitlist.
How is the harvest delivered?
Your share is delivered to your door in an insulated Wiseacre Farm tote. For maximum efficiency, please place your empty tote out prior to our delivery for us to retrieve, clean, and reuse. If you would like to keep your tote for personal use, we are happy to sell you a tote for $15. We recommend you refrigerate your harvest as soon as possible after delivery.
How does payment work?
Payment is required when you purchase your subscription. Why? We use these funds to allow for the planning and coordination required to grow, harvest, pack, and deliver your produce. The payment is nonrefundable.
What if I need to miss a week?
If you won’t be around to enjoy your harvest, let us know at least two days ahead of time, and we will gladly add your share to our regular donations to the Northfield Township Food Pantry.
What else should I expect?
How much does a subscription cost?
Cost depends on what you would like to receive, and how often.
